Senior Pastor: Chris Calizo
My name is Chris Calizo, and I am honored to currently serve as senior pastor of Salinas Full Gospel Church. My wife, my rock, and partner in ministry is Diana Calizo. We have three beautiful children—Mayci, Samantha, and Zachary.
As a young teen, I felt the call to both pastor and teach. God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve in both capacities. I’ve humbly served as senior pastor of SFG since 2012, and I’ve taught in the public school system as a middle school teacher since 2009. I have a bachelor’s degree in Church Leadership from Bethany University, a teaching credential in Biological Sciences, and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University. Previously I served as youth pastor, worship leader, and associate pastor under pastor Amor Racilis.
None of these things, however, make me feel any more worthy or qualified for God’s call on my life than the next guy. I understand that it is only by God’s grace that I’ve been saved and chosen to serve in His Kingdom. Nothing of substance or lasting impact will come to fruition without the wisdom of His Word and the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. Just like all of his children, God has called me to worship him through obedience. So that is my life’s mission, to live a life of worship through living a life of obedience.
“One thing I desire of the Lord, this one thing will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life; that I may behold the beauty of the Lord, and inquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4).
My hope for our church is simply this: that we demonstrate the same love and compassion towards others as God has towards us.
I have been married to my best friend, Casey, for over half my life and constantly learning the meaning of “becoming one”; have been involved in various ministries such as being on worship teams, led Bible Studies and Sunday School classes, prayer ministries, missions, women’s ministries; surrendered to the Lord to be used for His glory and to fulfill His purpose for my life, and to encourage others to do the same.
Worship Arts & Infinite (Youth) Ministries: Jasmine Viado
My name is Jasmine Viado and I am currently the youth leader and worship director at Salinas Full Gospel Church. Growing up I have always been known to sing at the top of my lungs, and be the most talkative person in the room. I enjoy binge watching YouTube videos and Netflix shows. Here are a couple random facts about myself: I’m obsessed with Planetshakers, I like to watch Hockey, food makes me very very happy, I vlog on my spare time, I don’t like mushrooms, oh and I enjoy taking long naps.
I have been attending SFG my entire life and pretty much grew up in the church. In addition to the ministries I am involved with at SFG, I am the Secretary for the Messengers of the Cross (the youth organization we are associated with A.K.A the MC’s).
My goal with our youth is to teach, encourage and help youth grow in their walk with Christ.
IRON Men’s Ministry: Casey Aguilar
I have been involved in various layman ministries; Church Board, Adult and teen bible teacher, worship leader, street ministry, video/sound man, Sunday School Director, Food Pantry Ministry, usher, special Church project leader and Men’s Ministry Leader. Married to Adeline, my best friend and helpmate in Christ.
Praying to be used as God see’s fit to do with my life.
Heart2Heart Ladies Fellowship: Becky Rosario & Diana Calizo
I am blessed to be leading the ladies ministry at SFG alongside our pastor’s wife, Diana Calizo.
Diana is a mom of two daughters and one son. She recently graduated with a BA in Psychology. Though she’s a busy mom, and a full-time partner in ministry alongside her husband, pastor Chris, she’s a great asset as a leader of the ladies ministry, and an enormous support to me.
Me and my husband David are parents of three sons, Raymond, Antonio and Daniel. It’s a wonderful thing being married to the man God created just for me, and together we are constantly learning more about marriage and parenting as we keep Jesus in the center of it all.
Aside from being one of the leaders of the ladies ministry, I am currently serving as a deacon on our church board, and the vice-president of the General Ladies Missionary Corp for our organization (International Assemblies of the Firstborn). In recent years, I enjoyed being a teacher for Vacation Bible School, and I love helping lead bible studies at our midweek services. I currently hold an exhorters license, and though all of us are called to be a minister of God’s word, I personally look forward to using this license as a tool to grow in this area.
My desire for Heart2Heart Ladies Ministry is to continue to unite as a group of ladies, creating lasting friendships that are centered around God’s word, grounded in prayer, always dedicated to our service to the Lord, and always connecting with each other and our community, heart to heart.
